The free plan includes 10 new Russian words every day, each with pronunciation, meaning, an example sentence and audio; beginner and everyday conversation lessons; the alphabet; a daily test; your progress page, points and the weekly leaderboard.

In the language partners section you can read and reply to messages you receive. This plan is not a trial; it never expires.

How do 14 days of free Premium work?

Every new member gets 14 days of Premium the moment they sign up. During that time the daily word limit is lifted (“10 more words” as often as you like), every conversation lesson and unlimited tests are open, and you can start new conversations with other members and share images.

No credit card is asked for at sign-up, so nothing is charged without your knowledge when the trial ends.

What happens when the trial ends?

Your account moves to the free plan automatically. Your learned words, progress and points stay; you keep learning 10 words a day.

If you want to go faster you can buy Premium at any time; if not, the free plan stays open for life.

What to watch out for with free resources

There are lots of free word lists online, but it’s easy to learn the wrong pronunciation from lists without audio. Choose resources where you can hear each word and see it in a sentence.

Consistency matters too: moving forward from the same place in the same order every day is less tiring and sticks better than jumping between scattered resources.

Tips for learning Russian

• Genders, cases and no articles

  Russian has three genders and six cases, so word endings change with their role in the sentence. On the bright side there are no articles and no “to be” in the present: Я студент means “I am a student”.

• Listen to Russian every day

  Russian songs, cartoons and subtitled videos help your ear with stress and intonation. Repeating short sentences as you hear them improves your pronunciation quickly.
